For Once, Dick Morris is in the Middle

Yesterday morning, in anticipation of the Presidential debate tonight in Nashville, the Nashville Health Care Council sponsored a panel discussion moderated by former Senator Bill Frist. The panel focused on the “possibilities” for reform under the next Administration – and the panelists (including Christopher Jennings, Chip Kahn, Dick Morris and John Podesta) painted a fairly bleak picture of the country’s ability to afford the systemic reforms that we might finally have the political capital to craft and pass through Congress.

I will post extensively on this very interesting panel over the next few days – they addressed a number of issues that deserve separate and detailed treatment – but in the meantime, check out Milt Capps at Venture Nashville, blogging about the panel’s discussion of heatlh care information technology….

Also, the Kaiser Family Foundation will be podcasting the panel – I am not sure when it will be posted, but you should be able to find it here…

UPDATE (10/9/2008): Here’s the link to the Kaiser podcast.
